PROTEST: Nazis out of sunshine

In July, CARF protested against the National Socialist Network - a Nazi organisation - who called a "white power lifting meet" at the Legacy Boxing Gym in Sunshine West. Over 350 people joined our demonstration and disrupted the ability for the event to recruit new people to the far right.

On 23 Sept we're calling a new rally, this time to drive the Nazis out of Sunshine altogether.

In 2015, a climate of extreme Islamophobia, increased law and order rhetoric, and rampant nationalism had encouraged the growth of small far-right groups. This led to a series of national mobilisations called by the far-right umbrella group Reclaim Australia. The initial Reclaim Australia demonstrations mobilised thousands across the country and hinted at worrying new political developments.
