National Day of protest | Cut ties with Trump’s America
CARF has joined a nation-wide coalition against Trump and to call on Australia to cut ties with Trump's America.
Trump has been deporting migrants, denying trans people healthcare, attacking unions & workers rights and kidnapping pro-Palestine activists off the streets.
Shamefully, our government has helped normalise Trump's far right agenda by maintaining close military and political ties with America.
We also know that Australia's not immune from the growth of the far right on the streets & in parliament, despite the resounding defeat of the Liberal Party in the election.
We need to build a radical movement to stop the Trumpification of politics and demand that our government cuts ties with Trump's America.

PROTEST: Nazis out of sunshine
In July, CARF protested against the National Socialist Network - a Nazi organisation - who called a "white power lifting meet" at the Legacy Boxing Gym in Sunshine West. Over 350 people joined our demonstration and disrupted the ability for the event to recruit new people to the far right.
On 23 Sept we're calling a new rally, this time to drive the Nazis out of Sunshine altogether.

The far-right figures involved in the anti-vax, anti-lockdown movement
While the ‘freedom’ demonstrators try to present themselves as apolitical — innocents who are merely vaccine hesitant — the reality is very different. Scratch the surface and it becomes clear that the key figures, spokespeople, and organisations leading and organising the movement are associated with various right wing, far Right, conspiracy and even neo-Nazi currents. There are many people at these demonstrations who may not know who they are marching alongside, but the verdict is in, these protests are breeding grounds for some of the most appalling politics around.
Campaign kicks off in solidarity with healthcare workers and pro-vaccination trade unionists
Following the shocking scenes of known neo-Nazis and members of the far-right joining anti-vax construction workers in riots demanding the right to overwhelm the health system under the guise of “freedom”, CARF held a public forum last Tuesday to discuss how anti-fascists should respond. The meeting was attended by over 630 people opposing right-wing attacks on unions.

Considering the (almost?) rally of far-right anti-vaxers at the Northcote Plaza today, it’s worth recalling a famous piece of Melbourne’s anti-fascist history from the 90s.
Adam Bandt to speak at the CARF United Rally: Free All Refugees
Although 46 men were freed from the Park Hotel, the fight for these refugees is far from over — with 13 men still imprisoned inside, along with more Medevac refugees detained in the Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation. To help these men break out, the Campaign Against Racism and Fascism (CARF) will be holding their largest United Rally on January 30, at 2pm outside the Park Hotel on Swanston St, Carlton.
About CARF: Our History, And What We Stand For
In 2015, a climate of extreme Islamophobia, increased law and order rhetoric, and rampant nationalism had encouraged the growth of small far-right groups. This led to a series of national mobilisations called by the far-right umbrella group Reclaim Australia. The initial Reclaim Australia demonstrations mobilised thousands across the country and hinted at worrying new political developments.
